All policies, plans and programs that work to develop the tourism industry are based on accurate information and recent statistics on the indicators of the Gulf tourism sector. Success is achieved in the implementation of tourism development trends, plans and programs in the GCC countries by providing such information and statistics first, and analyzing them objectively and scientifically secondly, and setting sound future projections thirdly. Responsibility in this level is a shared responsibility between the official agencies concerned with tourism in the GCC countries and the statistical agencies. The official and general secretariat of the countries of GCC, represented by the Statistical Center of GCC, each of them has an important role in this field, and there is great importance to unifying the mechanism of collecting, analyzing and publishing Gulf tourism statistics in a way that facilitates analysis, comparison and conclusion, according to international statistical standards. On the other hand, the unification of standards for publishing tourism statistics in general and inter-tourism statistics between the GCC countries through the website of the Statistical Center for the GCC by building a platform for tourism statistics in the GCC countries, according to what is in effect in the platforms concerned with regional statistics. The platform provides interconnected data for economic and tourism information to serve those concerned with tourism development in the GCC countries, including government officials, investors and operators in the tourism sector, to support decision-making based on realistic information about the market, tourism spending, tourism investments, and employment in the sector.

Objectives

1- Keeping pace with the digital transformation witnessed by the tourism sector in general, and the collection, production and dissemination of tourism statistics in particular
2- Motivate the GCC states to collect, analyze and transfer tourism demand and supply data in accordance with international recommendations
3- Avoid conflicting information between the national and regional levels
4- Enhancing the quality and credibility of published data on tourism in the GCC countries
5- Providing comprehensive information bases for tourism data users, whether government agencies or the private sector and entrepreneurs, in order to enhance the competitiveness of the tourism sector in the region.
6- Displaying tourism indicators in a dynamic way that makes it easier for the user to deal with them and extract the necessary statistics and reports on tourism demand and supply, and development indicators for the sector.
